Herbal Indo Utama welcomed guests again from the Muhammadiyah University of Banjarmasin on Tuesday, 20 February 2024. As much 44 students from the UMBJM D3 Pharmacy study program accompanied by lecturers made an industrial visit to the Herbal Indo Utama facility in Sawangan, Magelang. Kunjungan ini merupakan kali ke-2 di tahun 2024, kunjungan mereka sebelumnya terjadi pada tanggal 15-20 January 2024.

Kegiatan Hari Pertama

Alhamdulillah, sekitar jam 8 pagi, armada bus mendarat dengan selamat di area Eduwisata Kebun Herbal. Tak butuh waktu lama, rombongan mahasiswa mulai memasuki Ruang Filosofi Herbal. Acara resmi dibuka oleh Bapak Yuli Ardo selaku pembawa acara. Kata pembuka yang disampaikan oleh Bapak Her Anggara dan perwakilan dosen UMBJM mengawali kegiatan yang akan berlangsung selama dua hari ini.

Herbal Indo Utama memiliki sekitar 140 types of herbal plants. 68 diantaranya tersedia dalam jumlah yang cukup banyak dan mampu memasok kebutuhan produksi yang tinggi. Diajak berkeliling ke area Kebun Herbal, mahasiswa tampak antusias dengan penjelasan Bapak Marno. The lush trees and hot weather did not prevent students from taking notes on the knowledge they were given.

One of the secrets of Herbal Indo Utama remaining able to supply high production needs is the abundant availability of seeds. Through this simple Nursery House, Finally, students know the ins and outs of cultivating herbal plants. Various cultivated seeds are prepared to replace plants that have been harvested.

Already know all types of herbal plants and their cultivation, So it won't be complete if you don't know what the next process is. Move a little to the Drying Room, here the harvest is chopped into small pieces to be dried. This room is designed with a transparent roof that is able to capture and retain heat. Nah, hasilnya nanti akan menjadi simplisia bahan baku obat.

Herbal Indo Utama menerapkan CPOTB dalam setiap produksinya. Aspek ini untuk menjamin agar produk yang dihasilkan senantiasa memenuhi mutu yang ditetapkan. Di sarana produksi UKOT, MD, dan kosmetik ini, mahasiswa dapat melihat proses ekstraksi, mixing, filling, and packing secara langsung. Setiap proses tersebut juga dijelaskan dengan gamblang oleh supervisor production.

Masih di tempat yang sama namun di ruangan berbeda, terlihat mahasiswa juga mengunjungi laboratorium Herbal Indo Utama. Here, setiap sampel produksi akan diuji stabilitasnya, mulai dari kadar air, cemaran, pH, bau, warna, hingga pertumbuhan jamur dan mikrobiologinya. Pengujian ini tentunya untuk menjamin kualitas dan keamanan produk.

Setelah puas berkunjung ke beberapa sarana, sesi selanjutnya diisi dengan pemaparan materi oleh Bapak Her Anggara. Selaku kepala Digital Marketing di Herbal Indo Utama, beliau ingin berbagi pelajaran seputar kemarketingan kepada para mahasiswa. Acara hari pertama diakhiri dengan mini giveaway, selamat kepada 6 mahasiswa yang beruntung!

Kegiatan Hari Kedua

Kegiatan di hari kedua tidak kalah edukatif dan seru. Dimulai sejak jam 8 pagi, kali ini giliran Bapak Nanda memberikan materi seputar apa saja peran farmasis di dunia industri. Pembelajaran berlangsung serius namun cair. Mahasiswa sangat antusias untuk bertanya.

Sesi selanjutnya dilakukan oleh Bapak An’im Fathoni. Beliau banyak membahas seputar seluk-beluk pembuatan produk. Tak hanya itu, beliau juga menyoal seputar Business Model Canvas dalam pembuatan ide dan gagasan produk. Ada yang menarik dalam sesi ini, Mr. An'im assigned students to create product ideas and their own products.

As a group, Students are given the task of putting their business ideas into practice 9 elemen BMC. From this idea, there must be output in the form of simple herbal products. Previously, the committee had provided various herbal raw materials. Students are free to create product formulations that suit the ideas and concepts they create.

The practice was quite exciting, the products they produce also seem quite interesting. Curious aren't you?? However, no need to linger, The students will present their ideas and products in front of the stage. This time Mr. An'im acts as a jury who will directly assess their work. Alhamdulillah, This session went in a relaxed manner and was punctuated with a little laughter.

Appreciation prizes were also given to several of the best groups. Wrap up, The event closed with a photo with the committee, lecturer, and all students. That's the excitement of the industrial visit of students from the D3 Pharmacy program, Faculty of Pharmacy, Muhammadiyah University of Banjarmasin at Herbal Indo Utama.
